Frequently asked questions

Our goal with pluripotent stem cell therapy is to effectively repair the damage caused by Lyme disease and help your body reverse the condition's effects. While we focus on outcomes rather than the word "cure," this therapy is the leading treatment available today for addressing the complex symptoms of Lyme disease.

Pluripotent stem cells work by helping to regulate your body's immune response, which is a critical step in halting the disease's progression. From there, the therapy focuses on repairing the nervous system to help remove sensitivities to light and noise, restore mental clarity, and bring back a sense of well-being. As our patients' bodies heal and their symptoms improve, we find that the issues related to Lyme disease are systematically resolved.

Yes, the primary goal of our stem cell therapy is to resolve the symptoms of Lyme disease. Patients suffering from chronic fatigue, persistent infections, joint pain, fibromyalgia, brain fog, and nerve problems have found significant relief through our treatments.

The therapy is specifically designed to repair the nervous system and restore balance, leading to the elimination of symptoms. While every patient's healing journey is unique, the improvements are designed to be stable and long-lasting. The healing process doesn't stop when you leave our clinic; it continues for three to six months as your body uses the new stem cells to regenerate, leading to progressively greater improvements over time.

Our approach is comprehensive. While traditional antibiotics can fight the Lyme bacteria, they often can't repair the lasting damage left behind by the infection. Our treatment protocols combine the regenerative power of pluripotent stem cells with a range of supportive therapies to promote whole-body healing.

Your treatment program at Stemaid Institute is a comprehensive and personalized healing experience. Here is what you can typically expect:

Duration: Most programs last from three to five weeks, depending on the severity of your condition. We will recommend the appropriate length for you, whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with severe, long-term symptoms.

Daily Schedule: Your treatment takes place six days a week in our clinic, ensuring a consistent and intensive therapeutic process.

Your Comprehensive Treatment Includes:

In-Depth Medical Supervision: You will have a complete medical assessment, regular visits with our doctors, and full blood panels at the beginning and end of your treatment.

Daily Pluripotent Stem Cell (PSC) IVs: You will receive daily infusions of fresh, powerful pluripotent stem cells, which are programmed to read your body’s needs and initiate healing.

Plurisomes™ (Targeted Healing Messengers): These are powerful derivatives of our stem cells that are delivered through IVs or targeted injections to accelerate healing where it's needed most.

Supportive Therapies: Your program includes weekly advanced ozone therapy, daily nutritional IVs, therapeutic massage, and other wellness treatments to support your recovery.

Comfort and Hospitality: We provide a gourmet organic lunch each day, along with healthy snacks and teas. We also arrange for transportation to and from the airport and your daily clinic visits to make your stay as stress-free as possible.

During and After Treatment: It’s common to feel tired after your daily stem cell administration; this is a positive sign that your body is directing its energy toward healing. This feeling can last for a few weeks. The most important thing to remember is that your body will continue to heal and improve for up to six months after you complete your program.

Stem cells are renowned for harnessing the body’s natural healing properties. They can help treat various conditions by repairing damaged tissue. Doctors utilize adult mesenchymal and pluripotent stem cells from donated blastocysts to tailor treatments to the patient’s DNA, maximizing the potential benefits.

Unlike surgery and medications used for nerve damage, stem cell treatment is minimally invasive and has no known side effects. Pluripotent stem cells are programmed for your DNA using a simple skin biopsy. They are then injected into the bloodstream before being naturally removed from the body.

Nerve damage occurs when the nerve signals are disrupted due to damage or injury (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, 2024). The condition generally worsens over time as the nerve fibers continue to deteriorate. You may experience tingling, sharp aches, weakness in the arms or legs, extreme sensitivity to touch, light, and temperature changes. Symptoms typically start mild before gradually increasing over weeks, months, and years. They usually first appear in the areas furthest from the brain (i.e., the hands and feet) before moving inward.

There are two main types of nerve damage: peripheral, which affects the extremities, and central, which affects the spine or brain. The areas impacted vary based on which nerves are damaged. Neuropathy can spread to other body areas if left untreated, as more nerve fibers are affected.

Causes of neuropathy include:

  • Injury: A sudden blow, fall, or collision, such as a car accident, can cause severe nerve damage. Broken bones and slipped vertebral disks press on the nerves that transmit signals to the brain, disrupting the connection. Repetitive movements that press on nerve fibers can also cause slow damage to the area over time.
  • Diabetes: High blood sugar can damage the blood vessels that support healthy nerve function, leading to peripheral and central neuropathy that can affect major organs.
  • Exposure to Toxins: Lifestyle factors such as smoking and poor diet, prolonged vitamin deficiencies, immune deficiencies, and certain medications used to treat various diseases can also damage nerve fibers as a side effect.
  • Autoimmune Diseases: A condition that causes the immune system to attack itself can lead to the accumulation of heavy metals in the body, eventually damaging nerve endings as the body struggles to eliminate these toxins naturally.

These conditions can impact your ability to lead a fulfilling and active lifestyle. Persistent pain and discomfort may limit your enjoyment of activities you once loved, including walking, hiking, bicycling, writing, and working with your hands. They can also prevent you from exercising, which can make neuropathy worse due to a lack of activity.

Adult mesenchymal stem cells and pluripotent stem cells from blastocysts are used to treat nerve damage. Stemaid Institute exclusively utilizes pluripotent stem cells, the youngest and most versatile type of stem cells, to support tissue regeneration and revitalization.

The cost of stem cell injections for neuropathy varies widely, but they are generally less expensive in Mexico than in the United States. Stemaid Institute stem cell treatment costs between $1,000 and $1,500 per injection.

Yes, stem cell therapy has been used to relieve the symptoms of diabetes, which can cause nerve damage. It has proven to be safe and effective for patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes

Yes, stem cell therapy can help reverse the effects of nerve damage by regenerating damaged muscle and nervous tissue. Patients can build muscle, improve coordination, and regain their mobility.

We exclusively utilize human pluripotent stem cells (hPSC) that are meticulously cultured in our state-of-the-art labs. Pluripotent stem cells possess the unique ability to differentiate into any cell type in the body, offering unparalleled regenerative potential.

Unlike other commonly used stem cell types such as adult stem cells, umbilical-cord stem cells, or fetal cells, hPSC have the capacity for limitless self-renewal and can generate a wide range of specialized cells, making them highly effective in regenerative medicine. This versatility and regenerative prowess set hPSC apart as a superior choice for transformative and personalized stem cell therapies, leading to enhanced outcomes.

Unfortunately, the therapeutic use of cultured stem cells is currently unapproved by the FDA. Insurance companies will typically only cover FDA approved procedures performed within the United States. Because we are located in Mexico and utilize cultured pluripotent stem cells, our procedures are not covered by insurance at this time.

To date, our pluripotent stem cell therapy has produced no negative side effects; nor are there any medically or scientifically anticipated risks outside that of a routine outpatient injection.

  • Fresh, vibrant stem cells: Stemaid delivers fresh stem cells directly from their laboratory culture to ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Never re-frozen: Stemaid's cells are never re-frozen before application, which prevents degradation or cell death that can occur when stem cells are shipped frozen.
  • Laboratories nearby: Stemaid only establishes laboratories within 2 hours of transport to an injection facility, and will not deliver cells if they cannot be used within 36 hours of production.
  • Strict culture conditions: Stemaid grows its stem cell lines under strict laboratory cleanroom protocols. Also, the genetic health of the cells is continually controlled, and experts in embryonic stem cell culture assess their safe use daily.

EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) ozone therapy at Stemaid Institute enhances health through several mechanisms:

  • Process During EBOO, a patient's blood is drawn, ozonated outside the body using a specialized ozone generator, and then reinfused back into the patient's circulation. This procedure occurs in a controlled medical environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Mechanism The introduction of ozone into the blood increases the amount of oxygen carried by red blood cells and promotes better oxygen utilization by tissues. This process can stimulate the immune system and enhance blood flow, contributing to improved overall health.
  • Therapeutic uses EBOO enhances oxygen levels in the body, supports recovery from various health conditions, promotes overall well-being and may also serve as a complementary treatment for a variety of health concerns.
  • Ongoing research Studies indicate potential benefits in health optimization. The therapy continues to attract interest for its innovative approach to enhancing oxygenation and supporting overall health.

Stemaid Institute's ozone therapy is only available when purchasing or in addition to an existing stem cell therapy package.

Stemaid's Plurisomes™ product is unique due to its origin, composition, and function. Plurisomes™ are a specialized exosomal concentrate derived from the pluripotent stem cell lines meticulously cultured in Stemaid's advanced laboratories. Here are the key aspects that make Plurisomes™ unique:

  • Source Plurisomes™ are derived from pluripotent stem cells (PSC), specifically embryonic stem cells (ESC). These cells are extracted from the inner cell mass of 5-day-old blastocysts. Stemaid produces Plurisomes from its own proprietary embryonic stem cell line.
  • Pluripotency: Plurisomes™ harness the regenerative properties and signaling molecules of pluripotent stem cells. Pluripotent stem cells have the genetic range to signal repair in all 220+ human tissue types. Plurisomes offer a targeted approach to cellular rejuvenation and healing, promoting tissue regeneration and overall wellness.
  • Bioactive Signaling: Plurisomes™ are the bioactive signaling of pluripotent embryonic stem cells. This bioactivity refers to the secretion of exosomes containing bioactive mRNA, miRNA, translational factors, peptides, and enzymes, which are of utmost importance to restorative systems biology.
  • Function: Plurisomes™ release regulatory growth factors, angiogenic factors, rejuvenative factors, and miRNAs straight into the tissue area, so that localized regeneration can restart. They release molecules that act to repair DNA, repair mitochondria, grow new healthy tissue, and elongate telomeres. The therapeutic message of Plurisomes signals restoration at any juncture of the tissue biology.
  • Composition: Plurisomes contain unique mRNA, miRNA, translational factors, peptides, and enzymes responsible for the restorative bio-regulation of the body and the up-regulation of the recipient’s stem cell stores. They also contain unique rejuvenative mediators and mRNA coding for peptide factors that repair DNA damage and elongate telomeres. The unique profile of Plurisomes shows a vast number of unique features that are indicative of the varied tissue affinity and youthful potency of the pluripotent secretome.
  • Production: Plurisomes™ are cultured in a clean laboratory setting, in an ideal in-vitro medium environment devoid of the inflammatory, degenerative milieu present in vivo. A protocol is used to produce Plurisomes™ in a set laboratory environment that makes their composition reproducible and optimized for rejuvenation.
  • Administration: Plurisomes™ can be administered through various methods, including intravenous, intra-articular, intra-muscular, sub-cutaneous, intra-nasal, and topical applications. They can be added to ESC or aESC IV treatments for ESC-Exo mixed protocols.
  • Standardization: Plurisomes, as a biologic product, are highly standardized and consistent in activity and designed specifically for tissue repair, renewal, remodeling, and rejuvenation. Pluripotent stem cells, on the other hand, will release reparative secretome in response to physiological microenvironment conditions, and hence their exosome content may vary according to tissue needs.

At Stemaid Institute, a patient typically receives 20 million pluripotent stem cells (hPSC) per day via IV injection, six days a week. This amounts to 120 million hPSC per week.

Key differences between Stemaid's pluripotent stem cell (hPSC) therapy and treatments using mesenchymal stem cells:

  • Cell Type: Stemaid exclusively uses pluripotent stem cells (hPSC). Other clinics commonly use mesenchymal stem cells derived from adult tissues.
  • Cell Potency: Pluripotent stem cells can differentiate into any cell type in the body, whereas mesenchymal stem cells are multipotent, meaning they can only differentiate into a limited number of cell types. Pluripotent stem cells are considered more versatile and effective in regenerative medicine due to their broader differentiation potential.
  • Source & Age: Stemaid's pluripotent stem cells are derived from a 100-200 cell blastocyst and are the youngest and most versatile cells available for therapeutic use. Mesenchymal stem cells, when harvested from older individuals, may be less effective due to the aging of the cells themselves.
  • Efficacy: Stemaid distinguishes itself by using a smaller number of more potent pluripotent stem cells, while other clinics use larger numbers of less potent mesenchymal stem cells.

Stem cells and exosomes and their complimentary therapies work best when administered repeatedly, daily, for a period of time, usually 2-5 weeks in a row. It’s the daily pulsing doses of stem cell regenerative factors that gives best physiological results. As a result, patients receive the treatments daily, Monday to Saturday.

Our human pluripotent stem cells (hPSC) are continually cultured in our labs. They were originally derived from a 100-200 cell blastocyst (either donated or cloned from a skin-cell). At this very early stage, these cells have not yet become specialized in any way and are capable of signaling repair in all 220+ tissue types of your body, leading to whole body repair and rejuvenation.

Once a particular stem cell line has been established, it can be cultured for many years without losing potency or effectiveness and, most importantly, without the need of additional blastocysts.

The exact cause of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) isn't fully understood, but it's often triggered by a prior infection that prompts the immune system to mistakenly attack the nerves. Common infectious triggers include the bacterium Campylobacter (often from undercooked poultry) and Mycoplasma pneumonia. A variety of viruses are also linked to GBS, such as influenza, COVID-19, HIV, Hepatitis A, B, C, and E, the Zika virus, Epstein-Barr virus, and Cytomegalovirus. In other instances, GBS can be preceded by conditions like Hodgkin lymphoma or significant physical trauma. While exceedingly rare, certain influenza and childhood vaccinations have also been identified as potential triggers.

GBS affects all age groups and types of individuals. However, the risk increases with age, and infections are slightly more common in men than women. In some cases, vaccines have contributed to the syndrome; however, getting vaccinated against influenza, COVID-19, and hepatitis, and taking preventive measures to lower your risk of exposure, will reduce your chances of getting infected with a virus related to the onset of GBS.

Pluripotent stem cells treat GBS symptoms and causes in three ways: through immune modulation to reduce inflammation and suppress autoimmune attacks, cellular repair and regeneration to heal organs damaged by the disease, and by restoring autonomic balance to restore motor skills and mobility.

Stem cells treat various chronic diseases and conditions by rejuvenating the body. While adult stem cells repair muscle and tissue and hematopoietic stem cells treat conditions of the blood, pluripotent stem cells from donated blastocysts, early-stage embryos, can signal repair in more than 220 specialized cells, helping treat a range of GBS symptoms and underlying causes.
